On behalf of the organizing committee of the 37th IFTDO World
Congress & Exhibition, we are delighted to be your host in the city
of Dubai, which has its sight on joining the ranks of the world’s
leading knowledge-driven economies, thanks to the vision and
leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The UAE is a small and young society, however in terms of human
development, we are very proud of what we've achieved. Training
Institutes and leadership programs are all in place, to prepare our
young people for the future, by promoting innovation, creativity and
entrepreneurship.
Knowledge has today become a major enabler for economic development
in Dubai, enhanced by a special formula that combines economic
freedom with openness to the world. In the Knowledge Age, the Dubai
government is embracing the utilization of new economy tools and
ideas, providing an environment conducive to the private sector and
encourages and supports it. Dubai e-Government ranks among the
world's top ten, offering 90% of its services online.
We believe that in the New Economy, the best idea is the one that is
implemented at the right time, without delay, and in the Information
Age, there is no monopoly on ideas. Everything is moving so fast
that the speed of execution is no less important than the idea
itself because the fastest one wins, that is why in Dubai we
implement strategic projects very quickly.
Women play a central role in our human development plans; they bear
responsibility for some of the most important work and have equal
opportunities in terms of education and employment. 65% of the
people working at Dubai Internet City are women and approximately
30% of businesses are women-owned.
The theme selected for the 37th IFTDO World Congress & Exhibition -
“Knowledge & Human Resources” - will address the latest
developments, trends, scientific research and technological
advancements in the field of Human Resource Development practices
and their impact on the dissemination, acquisition and application
of Knowledge.
Together with a carefully selected educational program and a group
of highly renowned key note speakers, we promise you and your guests
