Dubai Dhow Cruise

Evening: approximately 8:30pm to 10:30pm

The dhow, a wooden fishing boat, is the legacy of the trading roots of the nation. Step off the pier on board a vessel built to the same blueprint as those of the early seafarers of the region. The interior has been converted into a snug dining area, decorated with tasselled wall hangings emblazoned with the colourful stripes and diamonds favoured by the local weavers.

Enjoy an unforgettable evening cruising along the Dubai Creek as your craft cuts through the reflection of the sparking skyline in the water. This is certainly an indolent way to experience the city from a new angle. The waterways are plied by luxury yachts, water taxis and other dhows, some of which are still used for fishing and trading. Famous landmarks can be easily spotted – look out for the golden belly of the National Bank building and the Etisalat building with the giant golf ball perched precariously on its roof.

Your tastebuds will never be the same again after a buffet dinner fit for kings is served to the tempo of Arabic melodies. The meal is capped by soothing mint tea or fragrant coffee, not forgetting the delicious desert dessert - the date.

Note: Hotel transfers are not usually included in this tour but can be arranged for an extra cost.
