Overnight: approximately 3:30pm to 12:00 noon next day
A roller coaster dune bash through undulating golden sands brings you to your Bedouin camp, hidden in the midst of the desert. Here you are welcomed with the true hospitality of Arabia. Camels are available for those who want to experience a sunset ride on a ‘ship of the desert’ and trained falcons perch on your hand for a photo.
You then have time to relax under the starlit sky, stirred by the lilting refrain of the oud (a kind of lute). A delicious barbecue dinner is served, including both continental and Arabic dishes. A belly dancer performs on an open-air stage and after the show any brave volunteers from the audience can learn the basic steps.
After a magical night spotting shooting stars in the silence of the desert night, wake up to a glorious sunrise and the crystal clean air of first light. Enjoy an early morning breakfast as the sounds of the desert come alive again. Head out for an invigorating splash in the natural mountain rock pools of Hatta before returning to Dubai.
